With the right size two pole breaker (in my case 32 Amp for 4 100W panels), this weather-protected box will protect against shorts and allow me to turn the "power" off so I can work on the circuits safely.What I didn't like is that the silicone grommets provided for the two "punch-outs", top and bottom, are different sizes. The punch outs, which consist of two concentric circles scored from the outside only, are identical, and require tools to remove cleanly. Since wire sizing is dictated by amperage, the wires are going to be the same size going in and coming out, 8 AWG, in my case. I can't think of a reason to use the smaller circle on one end and larger circle on the other, but that's what I'd have to do to take advantage of the included grommets.
