They are sturdy, and very light blocking. I'd buy them again if I had other windows in the room.It is sumer in Tucson, AZ, and they make a big difference in temperature and light. The pic is a bit misleading. The huge window above the window doesn't have a way to hang curtains, so it is brighter in here than it would be if the top window could be covered. But look at the contrast between the covered and uncovered windows!I purchased the navy blue. Thankfully, I chose it based on the picture because it is not navy blue. It is a blue- gray, and none of the threads are navy.
